In order to strengthen the brand, the company has multiple Knowledge Centres across the Country to train Plumbers and interact with Farmers, Architects and Plumbing Consultants in respective Zones. The company organizes number of plumbing workshops to educate plumbers on how to install the piping system in a cost-efficient manner. The Company organized 284 Workshops in the year 2019-20 throughout the year. The company also plans to organize close to 500 Plumbing Workshop during the year 2020-21. There are more than 80,000 Plumbers connected with the company. Supreme Industries Overseas FZE and Supreme Petrochem Limited are the subsidiary and associate companies of Supreme Industries respectively. Supreme Industries holds 30% stake in Supreme Petrochem Ltd. Supreme Industries has entered into various technical collaborations for different product lines with companies such as, Rasmussen Polymer Development (Switzerland), Foam Partner (Switzerland), Sanwa Kako (Japan), PE Tech (Korea), Kautex GMBH, Calcamite Sanitary Services (PTY) and Swiss XPLASTX Technology SRL (Romania) among others. Some of the product lines include Cross-laminated Films, Cross Linked Foam and Cross Plastic Film. As on 31stMarch 2020, Supreme Industries is a member of several trade associations such as Plastindia Foundation, Organisation of Plastic Processors of India, Indian Plastic Federation, Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India, Federation of Indian Export Organisation, Deccan Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture among others. Few Highlights/Developments of Supreme Industries • In FY20, Supreme Industries sold 4,11,521 MT of plastic goods and grew by 3.4 % on a y-o-y basis in volume terms. • In May 2020, it was reported that the company is in the process to create state-of-the-art Plastics Product Complex at Jadcherla in Telangana. The unit is expected to add several new systems in its product portfolio to serve agriculture, housing and infrastructure sectors in a cost- efficient manner. • In May 2020, it was reported that the company initiated actions to set up a Plastics Product Complex at Orissa for which the company entered into an agreement to buy 30 acres of land to expand its geographical spread • During 2019-20, Supreme Industries participated in 16 international exhibitions for its different products in order to strengthen its international presence • By end of March 2020, the company’s active channel partners’ network stood at 3,567 • In FY20, the company posted an overall revenue growth of about 8.5% in plastic piping system made from different plastic materials • In FY20, 232 products were added to the range of various Plastic Piping System, taking the total product portfolio in Plastic Pipe System to 8,314 in number • Under plastic piping systems, capex of ` 1.3bn was infused in FY20 in the company’s various plants to build more capacities and increase range of products • In FY20, the business of Roto Moulded grew by 31% and the company launched Roto Moulded Toilet and multi-station urinal for construction sites, melas and exhibitions • Supreme Industries introduced 36 units of variety of Injection Moulded Pipe fittings during 2019-20 • In February 2020, the Company started manufacture of Roto Moulded Furniture with a limited range at its Kharagpur Roto Moulding Unit (West Bengal).
