Through mortgages, HDFC Bank will get longer duration assets on its books. HDFC Bank is expected to build a housing loan portfolio and enhanced product offerings to its existing customer base. Few Notable Highlights of HDFC • The demand for housing remained strong as approvals and disbursements grew by 38% and 37% respectively in FY22. • 91% of new loan applications were received through the digital mode and 67% of retail deposits digitally on-boarded. • The collection efficiency for individual loans on a cumulative basis recorded more than 99% during the quarter ended 31 March 2022. • In March 2022, HDFC recorded highest ever monthly individual housing loan disbursements. • In FY22, Corporation’s Asset Under Management (AUM) stood at ` 6,53,902 Cr. • As on 31 March 2022, the corporation’s capital adequacy ratio (CAR) stood at 22.8%, of which Tier I capital was 22.2% and Tier II capital was 0.6%. • The average size of individual loans stood at ` 3.3 mn in FY22, a rise of 11.8% y-o-y, owing to the demand for home loans from affordable housing and higher end properties. As on 31 March 2022, HDFC cumulatively financed 9.3 million housing units. • HDFC has the largest number of home loan customers – of nearly 3.14 lac who have availed benefits under the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS). As on FY22, cumulative loans disbursed by the corporation under CLSS stood at ` 521.44 billion.
