Since FY2014, the segment has witnessed steady inflows and increase in assets under management (AUM) as well as the number of investor folios. AUM crossed the milestone of ` 10 trillion for the first time as on 31st May 2014. ASSET MANAGEMENT SECTOR OVERVIEW The second milestone came in August 2017 when AUM crossed ` 20 trillion. The AUM size crossed ` 30 trillion for the first time in November 2020. AUM as on March 31, 2023 stood at ` 39.4 trillion as against ` 8.25 trillion March 31, 2014. It is noteworthy that the assets managed by portfolio managers have been steadily rising during the last five years to ` 27.9 trillion in FY2023.
