19 Agriculture sector CPSUs have witnessed substantial rise in net worth in FY21 ` 13.6 trillion Aggregate CPSUs Networth growth Agriculture Mining & Exploration Manufacturing, Processing & Generation Services 45.3% 12.2% 5.7% 4.4% Source: Public Enterprises Survey 2020-21, Dun & Bradstreet Research ƒ Net worth of all CPSUs increased by 9.1% to INR 13.6 trillion in FY21 ƒ A substantial rise in net worth of agriculture sector is primarily driven by decline in liabilities of oe of the operating CPSUs which turned its net worth positive in FY21. ƒ Mining & exploration sector: Net worth of CPSUs from coal, crude oil and other minerals & metals segment increased by 8%, 5% and 8% respectively in FY21. ƒ Manufacturing, processing&generation sector:While CPSUs fromchemicals &pharmaceuticals, fertilizers and petroleum (refinery &marketing) have shown substantial rise in net worth by 23%, 15% and 27% respectively, transportation vehicle & equipment CPSUs have shown a minor decline in net worth during FY21. ƒ Services sector: All the sectors except telecommunication & information technology and transport & logistic services have shown increase in net worth in FY21. Strong reforms initiated to make CPSUs globally competitive Government has been taking several initiatives to support the CPSUs sector. The key measures announced by the government has been as below. I. Guidelines for implementation of New Public Sector Enterprises Policy for CPSUs: In February 2021, the government notified guidelines for implementation of New Public Sector Enterprises (PSE) Policy for CPSUs.
