23 Initiatives of CPSUs under AtmaNirbhar Bharat Abhiyan Capacity Building Include measures to bridge the knowledge and capacity gap with local vendors and empower them to meet future requirement of CPSUs. Key initiatives under this are: - Skill development - Standardising disclosures & processes - Technology intervention & creation of employment opportunities locally to strengthen baseline information & engagement between firms Strengthening cooperation between CPSUs Strengthening cooperation between CPSUs to create capacity and opportunities for growth. Key forms of co-operations are: - Procurement/ operational aspects - Technology - Capital investment - Capacity building Providing platform for greater participation of domestic entities/MSMEs Key initiatives include: - Tenders up to ` 2 bn to be given to domestic entities/ MSMEs - Rationalisation of eligibility/ bid criteria for local vendors - Prioritization of payments to MSMEs - Reduction in performance security to 3% of contract value from 5-10% - Maximizing procurement through Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal Rationalising import dependency Key objective is: - To develop local capacities that can serve as a substitute for imports and thereby create opportunities locally Development of indigenous technology & technology transfer to CPSUs Key initiatives can be: - Creating local capacities for development of indigenous technologies. - Create conducive environment for local players to innovate and develop alternatives Dun & Bradstreet
