IDEX is made of decentralized businesses having more than 40 brands and manufacturing facilities all over the globe. IDEX (NYSE) is company that has undoubtedly touched your life in some way. IDEX India is 100% owned subsidiary of IDEX corporation, USA., began its operation in India with commercial office in Mumbai in 2000 and small manufacturing plant at Vadodara which was a part of global acquisition in 2000. Considering growth potential in India, in 2011, IDEX opened new manufacturing facility at Vadodara with 50000 sq feet shop floor / 2500 sq feet office and later expanded in 2015, 2019 and IDEX India Private Limited Vikas Narkar Managing Director again expanding in 2022. In this year we are building new facility at Sanand, Ahmedabad. With this new facility IDEX India will be having manufacturing facilities at Vadodara and Ahmedabad with combined shop floor space of 300000 sq feet. We also have commercial office in Mumbai. Since 2011 IDEX India grew 20x with CAGR 30%. Along with building infrastructure we built high performing team and culture with lot of focus on talent development. We shifted our focus from just having commercial capability to build local for local. This included local innovation and local value chain to make our product competitive in Indian Market. What are some of the innovative initiatives taken by your company in recent years? How have those initiatives helped your organization? Since last 10 years IDEX India is working on providing local solutions for Indian customers. Indian customers always aspire for global products at reasonable cost. Considering the need of local customers, we developed local capability for entire value chain. This includes Market research, Product innovation / development, supply chain, manufacturing, commercial etc. Currently we manufacture more than 15 Brands in India serving customers in various Industries. This has evolved over the period of last 15 years starting from just having front end commercial team selling our globally manufactured products to building locally innovated product to meet local needs. To make our strategy work we build state of the art infrastructure, High performing and engaged great teams with culture of Inclusion. We have special focus on Talent development which helps people to learn, grow and unleash their potential. Our employee engagement scores’ have consistently remained in the top percentile of manufacturing Industries benchmark. IDEX India grew 30% CAGR since last 10 years. This was impossible without the discretionary efforts of our great team. What is your company’s growth strategy for next 2-3 years? Our strategy is very simple – Local for Local. As India provides promising outlook of growth, we believe the market segments where we play have high potential of growth. As we stand currently, we are in good position to participate in the growth journey of India. With state-of-the- art infrastructure, local for local capabilities and high performing diverse and engaged team, we are confident to double our business in next 3-5 years. As customer obsession is part our foundational elements, we will continue to invest for right opportunities which can help our customers to solve their mission critical problems and facilitates our growth.
