48 Experts' View Leading SMEs of India 2021 How would you describe the journey of your company since its inception? What are some of the key milestones of the company in recent years? The first eight years of the Company were years of evolving our Mobile framework FRED and working out easy ways of delivering Digital/Mobile based solutions in the Indian market. The Digital space was very nascent and even though we received many accolades for the work we were doing, it was very difficult to get big orders. We actually were able to deliver an order processing and inventory management system to FMCG companies on the small Nokia phone, and it worked very well. We had a few customers at the time, for the product. However, we also did service oriented projects to keep afloat. The big break came when some Insurance companies in India actually placed faith in our expertise and our point-of-sale product which gave them a fillip in getting more customers easily, thus adding to the top and bottom line. Though it did take us a while to get moving! What are some of the key factors that differentiates your company from its peers? / What are the factors that give you an edge over your peers? The key factor that differentiates us from our peers is that we have a Product which has evolved over the years, primarily because it is easy to configure. The whole process of gathering requirements, configuring the changes based on the country ( rules laid down by their Insurance regulators and Government rules) takes not more than 2 months. So delivery is very quick. Adding on new products also is easy as we have a tool to make them happen very quickly. We have an R&D division that incorporate new technologies in our product to give that added benefit to the customer. Our latest innovation, for which a US patent is pending, enables insurance agents to interact remotely with customers for the entire sales process for even complex insurance products. We have considerable Domain knowledge in the Insurance space due to all the work we have done in the last 10 years. We also have in-house domain specialists in the Insurance space. We are a very nimble organisation where most of our people behave like entrepreneurs and know how to understand the customer and satisfy them, irrespective of the geographical area they come from What is your company’s growth strategy for next 3-5 years? Our focus is to become a US$ 20 million company in the next 5 years. This will be achieved by growing the MEA and ASEAN regions with a special emphasis on customer acquisition through strategic business partners. The US is also a separate focus area for the near future, in the Insurance space as well as in the Logistic space for FMCG companies.
