Wemanufacture specialty process chemicals and additives specifically curated for customers in various industries such as synthetic lubricants, leather and textiles, fertilisers, cosmetics and personal care, food feed and flavours and explosives. Our product mix consists of Sorbitan esters and other kinds of esters, antifoamers and defoamers, sulphosuccinates, polysorbates and ethoxylates, surfactants and conditioners. We service blue chip customers in India and in 40 other countries. Close to two-thirds of our revenues come from exports. During the past decade, much of our growth in volume and in customer base has come from exports. We have two manufacturing plants, one at Nasik and the other Lote Parshuram, and a product development and testing laboratory at Dombivli; all these facilities located in Maharashtra. Few businesses of our size can boast of an in-house well-equipped laboratory like ours. Capacity at Lote Parshuram will be further enhanced. Customer focus, competitive pricing and a keen eye on costs has helped us build a strong balance sheet that enables our business to be resilient in the current turbulent business environment. We are in a position to comfortably navigate the business amidst supply chain shocks, volatile commodity prices and exchange rates; and unforeseen events such as Covid pandemic. We possess a unique expertise to continuously customize our products to suit customer requirements. We thus provide “solutions” to issues of product performance and not just make chemicals that meet specifications. We can modify our products for different applications, so as to always meet market dynamics. Some examples of this expertise are: • Inventory of a custom made surfactant for Shampoo manufacturer was sold for foam rubber application when Shampoo manufacturer closed operations. • CAPB was modified for firefighting application with higher foaming capacity. The standard grade was not meeting the fire extinguishing standards. • We modified our SMS for a specific grade of yeast using raw water instead of DM water. Operating for over forty years now, we are known for quality consistency and responsiveness to customer needs. We quickly respond not only to product related requirements of our customers but also to the continuously changing regulatory requirements of different countries. Our overseas buyers therefore find that our meticulous documentation helps them clear the goods without any hassles. The combination of consistency and responsiveness hasmeant that many of our customers have beenwith us for decades now. Customers have changed and modified their products, adopted new processes but they have not changed the vendor. It continues to be SPAK. We have the highest CRISIL rating in the SME category – SME 1 – for the past twelve years in a row. We are a Star Export House as approved by the Government of India. We have all the necessary certifications and approvals for export to any country. Last but not the least, towards our ESG goals we have Zero Effluent Liquid Discharge (ZLD) plants and shift to cleaner sources of fuel along with actions planned for other areas.
