Pritika Group started in 1974 for manufacturing small forgings. Machine shop was started in Delhi in the year of 1975. In 1998 as a backward integration foundry was setup in Derbassi (Punjab) with initial Capacity of 3000 tons/annum. By 1999, the foundry was expanded by 2400 tons/annum to a total capacity of 5400 tons/ annum, which was further raised to 7800 tons/annum in 2003. In 2007, Pritika Group started first integrated foundry and machine shop in Bathri village of Una district in Himachal Pradesh with 7800 tons pa capacity, raising the total capacity of the Group to 15,600 tons pa. “By 2015, Pritika Group had reached a capacity of 30,000 tons per annum. In February 2018, installed capacity increased to 50,000 tons per annum. Pritika Group is today one of the biggest component suppliers in machined castings segment. It has a diverse portfolio, which includes precision machined components such as differential case, sealed brake housing, wheel hubs, brake housing, brake drums out of S.G. and grey iron castings. The company also produces heavy castings such as support front axle, rear axle housing and fly wheel housings. We have adopted the Digital Quality Management (DQMS) at our units and the results are very good. Also, the Group has IATF certification, which is automotive quality system requirement We also have ZED certification (Zero Defect, Zero Effect) from the Ministry of MSME.” RS Nibber says the principles of market economy that are practiced today will inevitably bring with it new opportunities and challenges. He says the Group is planning to expand to new geographical locations and are at present evaluating suitable location in South or Central India. “We have a large number of customers in South India. Also, another focus area for growth is export to foreign companies. Our target is to double our capacity to 1 Lac tons of machined castings in next 3-5 years and be a Rs. 1000 crore company by 2028,” asserts Harpreet Singh Nibber.
